Uzbekistan and Eurasian Development Bank Discuss Investments in Mining Sector
The parties also discussed cooperation in the metallurgical industry
During a meeting between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), the expansion of investment cooperation and support for projects in mining and metallurgy were reviewed. The EDB is prepared to consider initiatives from the Uzbek side, and the parties agreed to continue joint efforts.
The negotiations were led by Feruza Khamidova, First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology. The EDB was represented by Alexey Skatin, Deputy Chairman of the Board.
Participants discussed financing methods for promising Uzbek projects in the mining and metallurgical sectors. The Bank confirmed its interest in economically viable initiatives and its readiness to examine proposals from the Uzbek side.
