FAO develops technical capacity of dehkan and household farms in the Fergana Valley
38 people completed courses on sustainable soil and water resource management in September and October
In the Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions, 12 motor cultivators and the same number of manual sprayers were handed over to project participants. The recipients were dehkan farms and owners of household plots.
The equipment was delivered to the mahallas "Navbahor", "Beshkapa", and "Sanoat". Additionally, one ton of carbamide was delivered to the Kurgantepa district. The FAO project is implemented jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.
It is expected that the equipment will facilitate soil cultivation, reduce the volume of manual labor, and allow protection of plants from diseases and pests. The project aims to develop climate-resilient agriculture in the Fergana Valley.
