Sulton Tex Plans to Invest $87 Million in Projects in Kashkadarya
The factory produces fabrics and uses a closed-loop water circulation system.
A total of $54 million has been invested in the factory, the press service of the president reported. Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with its operations and an exhibition of products in the Kashkadarya Free Economic Zone. A gas generator and solar panels have been installed to supply energy to the enterprise.
Resource-saving solutions are expected to reduce the factory's costs for electricity, hot water, and steam, as well as the production cost of its goods. Mirziyoyev noted that the implemented technologies could serve as an example for other textile companies.
In the Kashkadarya Free Economic Zone, the cluster plans another project worth $70 million. Projects worth $17 million are also planned in other districts of the region, which are also expected to create new jobs.
